# NVDA’s $215 Post-Earnings Test | Aug. 31–Sept. 4NVIDIA CorporationNASDAQ:NVDABullBearInsights **Daily chart** NVDA gave traders two very different reactions after earnings. Thursday looked like a clean breakout. Friday erased most of it and closed at $217.55. The bigger daily structure is still intact. Price remains above the broken descending trendline, but now it is testing that breakout instead of extending higher. The first important support is $215. Below that, I have $210, $205 and the larger base near $189–$190. Daily RSI is around 59, so momentum has cooled without turning bearish. The problem is price, not RSI. Buyers need to recover $220–$222.75 before momentum starts looking convincing again. Upside levels: * $220 * $222.75–$225 * $230–$231 * $235–$236 A daily close above $230 would put the earnings breakout back in play. A close above $236 would clear the larger range. **15-minute chart** Friday’s intraday chart was rough. NVDA dropped from $229.26 to $216.81 and spent the final part of the session building a small base around $217.50–$218. That flat close does not automatically mean accumulation. Sellers may simply have stopped pressing after the morning damage. Price is still below the short-term trend and has resistance sitting around $219–$220. For Monday, I want to see a 15-minute close above $220 and a successful retest. That would open $222.50, $225 and $226.13. If buyers recover $226.13, the next test should be $229–$230.47. If $216.81 breaks and $215 cannot hold, the chart has room toward $212 and $210. Losing $210 would expose $205. **GEX map** The nearby gamma map puts NVDA directly between support and resistance. Support: * $217.50 put level * $215 major positive-gamma level * $210 high-volatility level * $205 put level * $200 major put-interest area Resistance: * $220 * $222.50 * $225 major call concentration * $230 call wall * $235 Positive GEX can keep price contained unless one of these levels breaks with volume. The working range is $215–$225, with $210–$230 as the wider range. The $215 level carries the most weight nearby. Hold it and NVDA can grind back toward $220–$225. Lose it and $210 becomes the likely magnet. Calls represent only about 25.6% of the positioning shown, so the map is put-heavy after earnings. IVR has also collapsed to roughly 1.1. That takes away the pre-earnings volatility premium, but short-dated options can still decay quickly if NVDA stays pinned. GEX changes daily, so these levels need to be refreshed before every session. **Day-trading plan** Bull setup: Wait for a 15-minute close above $220, followed by a hold or retest. Targets are $222.50, $225 and $226.13. A runner can be held for $229–$230 if volume expands. The setup weakens below $217.50. Aggressive bounce setup: A flush into $215 is tradable only if buyers reject the level and recover $217.50. I would not buy $215 blindly while price is still falling. Bear setup: A rejection around $219–$220 followed by a break below $216.81/$215 puts $212, $210 and $205 in play. A recovery above $218.50–$220 invalidates that breakdown. The area between $217.50 and $220 could turn into chop. I would rather wait for price to leave that range than force a trade inside it. **Long-term investment view** The long-term Nvidia story is still strong, but the stock will not move in a straight line. Earnings volatility, valuation and positioning can create sharp pullbacks even when the underlying business remains healthy. For a new long-term position, I would scale rather than enter everything at once: * First area: $210–$215 after stabilization * Second area: $200–$205 * Major support: $189–$190 * Breakout confirmation: above $230, then $236 A sustained move above $236 could open $250 and eventually $260. A weekly close below $190 would damage the larger base and force me to reassess the chart. For investing, I prefer shares and staged entries. Short-dated options belong in the trading plan, not the investment account. For this week, $215 decides support, $225 decides recovery, and $230 decides whether the earnings breakout comes back. This is my chart plan for the week, not a recommendation to buy or sell. #NVDA #Nvidia #Stocks #TradingView #TechnicalAnalysis #OptionsTrading
