Wait 5 sec.

Michael Lund Petersen's Rabeeba (f, 3, Curlin–Chatham, by Maria's Mon) kicked into gear late to win the GIII Torrey Pines Stakes going away and take her lifetime record to a perfect three-for-three at Del Mar Sunday. The even-money favorite sat just behind a wall of three pacesetters in a bunched up field through fractions of :23.39 and :46.96. Tipped out three wide for running room approaching the stretch, Rabeeba was niggled on by jockey Juan Hernandez, but looked to be idling as She's No Quant (Pavel) asserted control in upper stretch. The time for the mile was 1:38.19.A debut winner going 6 1/2 furlongs at Los Alamitos June 19, Rabeeba was most recently a front-running winner of a July 26 optional claimer over the Torrey Pine's track and distance.Rabeeba, a half-sister to Group 1 winner Air Force Blue (War Front), was purchased for $750,000 at the 2024 Keeneland September sale.
