D J Stable's JADED (c, 2, Olympiad–Lady Pewitt, by Orientate) came with a sustained rally and bridged a double-digit deficit in the Sunday finale at Kentucky Downs, getting his nose down right on the money to defeat the well-regarded 4-5 favorite Roosevelt (Golden Pal) to earn 'TDN Rising Star' presented by Hagyard honors.A $250,000 Keeneland September acquisition, the chestnut–a half-brother to the same ownership's Eclipse Award-winning 2-year-old filly Jaywalk (Cross Traffic)–found himself a country mile behind through the early exchanges and raced with only two of his rivals behind him as 12-1 Job (Life Is Good) took up the running after the opening quarter of a mile. Roosevelt, looking to become a third new winner for his sire on the afternoon, was also set a similarly tall task while racing a few lengths ahead of the quietly ridden Jaded and considerably wider on the course passing midway.Job was maintaining the gallop and took the field into the final two furlongs, but both Jaded closer to the fence, and Roosevelt deep out, were making eye-catching headway with an eighth of a mile to the wire.
