Nottingham Forest have signed Daniel Munoz from Crystal Palace.Oliver Glasner has reunited with the Colombia right-back at the City Ground before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.Forest have signed Munoz for around £22mGettyForest are understood to be paying in the region of £22m for the 30-year-old.Palace have already strengthened in Munoz’s position this summer with two right-sided defenders joining the club.Oscar Mingueza arrived on a free transfer from Celta Vigo in July.He was followed through the door at Selhurst Park by Israel international Anan Khalaili earlier this month.Despite their arrivals, Munoz started at wing-back their defeat to Everton as new manager Pierre Sage operated with a back three.However, Khalaili and Mingueza shared the role in the loss to Man City.The 30-year-old joined Palace in January 2024, one month before Glasner’s appointment as manager.Munoz said: “Forest is a team with great players, great qualities and great skills on the pitch, I can’t wait to get out there so I can help my new teammates and I think that we’re going to do great things.”Palace reunion at ForestHis deal at Palace had two years remaining with the option of a further 12 months following an extension in April 2025.Munoz made 109 appearances across all competitions for the Eagles, scoring 11 goals and adding 16 assists.Of those, 105 came under Glasner, the fourth most of any player during his Palace tenure.Munoz signed for Palace one month before Glasner was appointed by the clubGettyDuring the Austrian’s time in charge, Munoz won the FA Cup, Community Shield and Conference League.However, Glasner departed the club at the end of last season following two-and-a-half years in charge.He was subsequently appointed Forest manager at the start of July on a three-year deal.Difficult start for GlasnerThe 51-year-old is still awaiting his first victory in charge of the club, though.Forest began their Premier League campaign with a 1-0 home defeat to Leeds United.The result was followed by another loss to the same opponents in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, with Glasner’s side booed off at full-time.Glasner is eyeing a reunion with Munoz as he chases his first win as Forest bossGettyThey then drew 2-2 with Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday.A move for Munoz would take Forest’s summer spending past the £100million barrier.Club-record signing Liam Delap is their latest addition following his £45million arrival from Chelsea.Central defender Ousmane Diomande has also joined the club from Sporting Lisbon for £34million.
