The Armed Forces of Malta carried out a medical evacuation at sea yesterday afternoon after a crew member aboard a bulk carrier suffered a serious medical emergency.The operation was coordinated and conducted by the AFM through RCC Malta, its Rescue Coordination Centre.The crew member was successfully evacuated from the vessel and brought to Malta.Upon landing, the patient was handed over to medical personnel at Mater Dei Hospital for further treatment.No further details about the crew member’s condition or the bulk carrier involved have been released.Photos from Facebook: AFM•
