A 33-year-old Bangladeshi man is at risk of dying after falling around three storeys down a lift shaft at a construction site in Mosta.The incident happened at around 3.45pm on Wednesday at a site in Triq il-Farkizzan.According to police, the man, who lives in Ħamrun, was carrying out work at the site when he fell into the lift shaft.Civil Protection officers and a medical team were called to the scene, with the worker subsequently rushed to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.He was later certified to have sustained serious injuries and is at risk of dying.Magistrate Dr Philip Galea Farrugia LL.D was informed of the incident and has appointed an inquiry.Police investigations are ongoing in collaboration with the Occupational Health and Safety Authority and the Building and Construction Authority.•
