Daphne Caruana Galizia’s sister has renewed her call for justice as Yorgen Fenech’s trial over his alleged complicity in the journalist’s assassination entered its 34th day today.Marking 3,218 days since Caruana Galizia was murdered, Corinne Vella drew attention to testimony being given by self-confessed murder middleman Melvin Theuma, who continued taking the stand as proceedings resumed.“May justice for Daphne be served with the full strength of the law – and that day can’t come soon enough,” Vella wrote.Her post highlighted Theuma’s testimony concerning Fenech, quoting the prosecution’s star witness as telling the court: “To me, Yorgen Fenech is the mastermind [of Daphne’s assassination].”Vella noted that Theuma has made the allegation repeatedly while testifying under oath.Fenech, the owner of 17 Black and a former shareholder in the Electrogas consortium, is standing trial accused of complicity in Caruana Galizia’s assassination and criminal association.
