I’m 35, in peri and have been having confirmed AGA for 3yrs now. The birth control pill yaz stopped the hair loss by reducing my already-low testosterone so that my scalp couldn’t produce DHT. I also have a biopsy that confirms miniaturization. I am not taking Yaz anymore because of other reasons but I am just sharing that I was on it as further evidence that DHT is my problem. I want to go on finasteride to further reduce scalp DHT. My husband is fixed and there is no chance of pregnancy. I can’t get my primary to prescribe it and I just tried Hers and all they offered was minoxidil, presumably because I am not post menopausal. But I know it can be done, so- how? I’m losing so much hair. I’ve already done all the other things so please just answer my question. If you’re pre menopausal and got prescribed finasteride please share how. What doctor did you use (an online service? If so how did you bypass the bot? Did you just lie and say you had a hysterectomy?
