VWAP Trade IdeaGermany DAX 40 IndexICMARKETS:DE40CoffeeTradorGreetings Traders☕ Today I want to talk about VWAP (3 Gray Wave-like lines indicator). What is VWAP—and why is it useful for traders? VWAP stands for Volume-Weighted Average Price. It represents the average price at which an instrument has traded during a session. In simple terms, it helps us understand where most trading activity has taken place. VWAP can also provide useful context about the intraday trend: • Price consistently above VWAP suggests bullish intraday trend. • Price consistently below VWAP suggests bearish intraday trend. • Price repeatedly crossing VWAP may indicate a balanced or sideways market. On the left chart, the indicator consists of three lines: the Upper Band, VWAP in the middle, and the Lower Band. VWAP resets at the beginning, usually, of each daily session. From there, traders can observe how price behaves relative to the session’s average price. When price becomes extended away from VWAP, it may eventually retrace towards it. However, distance alone is not enough reason to enter a trade—market structure, volume, momentum and other confirmations should also be considered. This morning, I executed a successful 1:1 risk-to-reward trade on DAX40 using VWAP together with additional confirmations. Hope you found this post useful! 👊
