More children and young people in Malta are set to receive additional support to help manage diabetes, Health Minister Ian Borg has announced. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Lovin Malta (@lovinmalta)A number of young people are already benefiting from free insulin pumps, with the government now increasing the amount of consumables and dressings provided alongside them.The additional supplies are intended to allow young people to use their insulin pumps more comfortably, particularly during the summer months when they may need to change them more frequently.The announcement came as Borg met young Kylie and healthcare professionals to discuss the support available to children and young people who rely on insulin pumps.During the meeting, Kylie showed the Minister a Bluetooth-enabled teddy bear device used to help monitor her blood sugar levels, providing regular readings that make managing her insulin needs easier.Borg said the aim is to continue making diabetes management more convenient for young people while easing some of the associated costs for their families.What do you make of this announcement?•
