With the release date of the Switch 2 Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition port arriving this month, Bandai Namco released a new trailer that went over the story of the game. It also offered more looks at gameplay from this version, allowing us a better idea of what to expect. This offers one of the better looks at what to expect since the new release date appeared. The new video spends about a minute going over the concept. It establishes how the Elden Ring shattered, and our character journeys The Lands Between. It also hints the player could perhaps become the Elden Lord. At the 35 second mark, Shadow of the Erdtree’s story comes up. Here’s the full Elden Ring Tarnished Edition Switch 2 trailer on YouTube: As a reminder, the Switch 2 port of Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition is going to be a complete one. That means when we play, we’ll have access to the base game, the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, and some other new elements like two more Starting Classes and Torrent horse customization. However, those additions won’t be exclusive, as people who already have been playing the game on a PlayStation or Xbox console or PC will be able to pay to add those to the game. Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition will come to the Switch 2 on August 28, 2026. The game and its Shadow of the Erdtree expansion are already available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
