Would rather sell him for £10m to anyone else rather than pocket £20m-plus from Arsenal.”A third Tottenham fan then commented: “To be honest, the bloke feels like an enemy already, so why not make it even worse? Probably about time we had a new Judas to hate.”One more Spurs fan asked for Arsenal to pay double for Romero: “Would be on brand for him, but make them pay double.”Another fan kept it simple, commenting: “Honestly, wouldn’t care at this point. I’m so emotionally done with him. And honestly, let them deal with dumb red cards (whether he’s targeted by refs or not) in key matches.”The same sentiment kept being shared, with yet another supporter saying: “I’d be just fine with it, let them deal with him and his antics.”One other fan, though, asked for a mammoth £120m: “Not a chance, unless they cough up £120m, then we laugh all the way to the bank!”Then a final supporter concluded: “Would love to see it as would immediately make Arsenal worse defensively. Plus would be great watching him cost them points and not us! Surprised Arteta would entertain the idea of signing such a liability.”How would you feel Spurs fans if Romero joined Arsenal? 😬 https://t.co/knIKt5lfun— Jay Harris (@jaydmharris) August 6, 2026Romero’s standing with Spurs fans continues to declineRomero has certainly not been the most popular figure in north London due to his antics on the pitch. His red cards and injury woes have left fans frustrated for a long time. It, of course, does not bode well for the Argentine when Tottenham fans are actively calling for him to be shipped to their bitter rivals. The last defender to make such a move was Sol Campbell and he remains a hated figure in N17 even to this day. With Romero, however, many fans seem to be indifferent.READ MORE: Chelsea may have just dented Tottenham’s £60m Savinho transfer hopes even furtherThe post ‘Would love to see it’ – Tottenham fans react as Arsenal enquire about Cristian Romero appeared first on Spurs Web.
