TTD plans village-level rollout of Srivari Seva in Telugu States - The HinduUpdated - August 07, 2026 11:41 pm IST - TIRUMALAIn a major outreach initiative aimed at extending devotional service beyond Tirumala, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is considering expanding its flagship Srivari Seva programme to villages across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Executive Officer M. Ravichandra said on Tuesday.Addressing the second phase of the Group Supervisors’ Training Programme at Srivari Seva Sadan in Tirumala, Mr. Ravichandra said the proposed expansion was in line with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s vision of broadening the reach and improving the quality of voluntary religious service.Pointing out that the two Telugu States together have nearly 50,000 temples, he urged Group Supervisors and Srivari Sevaks to identify opportunities to render voluntary service at village temples and community shrines.Mr. Ravichandra also announced that the TTD was developing a CIBIL-style performance rating system to assess volunteers and ensure merit-based allocation of seva responsibilities, with the objective of enhancing accountability and service standards.He invited practical suggestions from Group Supervisors on implementing the proposed grassroots initiative and improving pilgrim amenities in Tirumala. Later, he felicitated scholars S. L. N. T.
