Sometimes, you can have the best intentions, but things don't turn out well. Just ask Nick Jonas after he gave advice to a caller on the Hey Jonas podcast that humorously backfired during an interaction with his wife, Priyanka Chopra. Though I have to be honest about how hard I laughed when his suggestion of bowling dates landed him in hot water with his partner. When Chopra stopped by the brothers’ podcast, I knew we’d be in for a good time. While she’s primarily known for her action roles, I learned just how funny she is a few years ago during the Jonas Brothers Family Roast. The “funny family outing” was one of Netflix’s top hilarious celebrity roasts, and Chopra is a huge reason why. But when a caller asked about favorite couple dates and then brought up, “I know Nick, you always mention bowling,” I knew by the look his wife gave that her reaction was going to get me laughing. Here's how their back-and-forth went: Priyanka Chopra: Who do you go on bowling dates with?Nick Jonas: This is advice I gave another caller.Kevin Jonas: He doubled down on bowling pretty hard.Priyanka Chopra: But I’ve never been on a bowling date with him ever.Nick Jonas: We went bowling on Sunday.Priyanka Chopra: Yeah, as a family for the first time in like years. Who have you been bowling with? The moment reminded me how comedic timing comes naturally to the couple. And I loved every second. The brothers have proved how much they enjoy poking fun at themselves with last year’s A Very Jonas Christmas Movie. Plus, Nick’s role in John Carney’s heartwarming Power Ballad casually poked fun at boy bands. But it’s Chopra’s inclusion in Jonas projects that proves that sometimes couple goals involve giving each other a hard time. And in true Jonas fashion, the singer’s brothers didn’t help the situation. From Kevin adding that he “doubled down” and Joe providing a scratching sound effect, you can’t help but laugh at the brotherly love. For Chopra, she can be seen in Frank E. Flowers’ The Bluff, which was released earlier this year. If you ever wanted to see her as a pirate, I suggest you check out that movie. Now, she is focusing on her first Indian movie in years: a globetrotting action film called Varanasi by S.S. Rajamouli. For Nick, he’s expected to be in the upcoming Jumanji: Open World, which will drop on the 2026 movie schedule this Christmas. He and his brothers also brought the nostalgia back for those of us who grew up with their Disney Channel days with Camp Rock 3. The surprising third Camp Rock movie will premiere on the channel on August 13 and then will be available to stream with a Disney+ subscription. Now, as they promote all this exciting work, maybe Nick should avoid bringing up bowling.
