Rajya Sabha's opposition leader Mallikarjun Kharge raised the Haldwani purification incident. He stated that BJP members performed a havan after his public speech. BJP leader JP Nadda called the incident sad and promised a thorough investigation. Nadda assured that the party does not endorse such activities. The Rajya Sabha Chairman also condemned the act and called for punishment.
