Singer Jowy Landa, born Joan Namugerwa, has revealed how she and her team narrowly escaped a potentially deadly attack by suspected thugs while returning from a performance in Busia. The singer shared the frightening experience on her X account, explaining that the attackers hurled heavy pavers at the vehicle they were travelling in, with one of the stones smashing towards the driver’s side. The paver struck the area around the passenger seat next to the driver but, fortunately, the window did not shatter, sparing the person seated there from serious injury. We were attacked by thieves yesterday on our way back from the Busia show, but luckily no one got hurt. My manager told the driver to keep driving. What a wicked world this is. These guys threw pavers at the car windshield. The singer’s account has once again raised concern over the growing use of pavers by criminals targeting motorists, particularly people travelling at night.Amos Lovinz’s new love song Ku’munji celebrates a fulfilling love (AUDIO)Although Jowy did not disclose the exact location where the attack occurred, the incident has renewed calls for increased security along major roads to protect motorists and other road users from such attacks. The frightening incident also comes just hours after the death of SC Villa captain David Owori, who reportedly succumbed after being attacked by suspected robbers using pavers while returning home at night in the Makindye area.We were attacked by thieves yesterday on our way back from Busia show Bt luckily no one got hurt my manager told the driver to keep driving What a wicked world this is so these guys threw pavers on the car windshield🥺🥺🥺 pic.twitter.com/EidISV9KqG— JOWY LANDA (@JowyLanda17) August 8, 2026The post Jowy Landa narrowly escapes attack from thugs in Busia appeared first on MBU.
