$CIFR: Buying the Transition Gap, Zone 1 and Zone 2Cipher Digital Inc.BATS:CIFRCedric_InvestsSetup: CIFR is sitting at $16.74 in Zone 1 with Williams %R at -94, deeply oversold after a drop from $25.22 on Aug 3 to the mid $16s in a week. CRWV and NBIS are ripping and the demand behind them isn't slowing down. CIFR is building for that exact same demand. The difference is theirs is switched on already and CIFR's starts in October. Why the fundamentals support this: ✅ 168MW + 56MW ten year AI hosting agreements with Fluidstack ✅ ~$3B contracted revenue, up to $7B if extension options are exercised ✅ Google backstopping $1.73B of Fluidstack's obligations ✅ Google holds a 5.4% equity stake in CIFR ✅ ~2.4 GW development pipeline ✅ Barber Lake site in Colorado City, Texas goes live October 2026 The gap worth watching: Bitcoin mining revenue is winding down faster than AI hosting is replacing it, and the AI revenue hasn't started yet. Q2 showed it plainly: Revenue $24.8M, down from $35M in Q1 and $8M short of estimates. EPS came in at -$0.65 versus -$0.24 expected. Net loss was $268M, though $150M of that was a non-cash warrant remeasurement rather than operational burn. That is the entire bear case, and it has an expiry date. The contracts are signed and the tenant's obligations are backstopped by Google. What is missing is the calendar. Bias: Long, scaled. Zone 1 at current levels. If price cuts through, Zone 2 at $13-14 is the April low and where I want size. By the time price gets down there Barber Lake data centre is live or close to it, and the transition is far enough along that a bounce off that level would be the real one. Target: Reclaim of the $22-25 range once hosting revenue starts printing. Invalidation: The thesis breaks on delay, not on price. A slip in the October Barber Lake start date or a change to the Fluidstack agreement is what would be worst case. Timeframe: Multi month. This is a transition trade with a dated catalyst in Q4, not a fast bounce.
