P. Subbiah, a resident of Harvey Nagar in Tirupparankundram, presented a cheque for ₹10,000 toward the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund to Madurai District Collector Nishant Krishna on Monday. Further, he formally handed over a will document to the District Collector pledging his entire bank balance of ₹30 lakh along with its accrued interest, alongside valuables and assets worth another ₹30 lakh currently held in his bank locker, to the Flag Day Fund. In addition, the octogenarian also submitted a declaration expressing his desire to donate his body to a government hospital for medical education and research purposes upon his passing.
