22 year old female hair thinning and loosing

Wait 5 sec.

Hi! I’m a 22-year-old female who has been dealing with hair thinning and increased hair shedding ever since I had COVID about six years ago. I’ve seen multiple dermatologists and primary care doctors, but no one has been able to determine the cause. At this point, I’m honestly surprised I’m not bald yet because the shedding has been ongoing for so long. I recently had blood work done, and my vitamin B12, hemoglobin, cholesterol, and TSH were all within the normal range. I still need to have my iron, ferritin, and vitamin D levels checked. My sister has PCOS, so I’ve wondered if that could be a possibility. However, my periods are regular, and I don’t have facial hair or acne. My main issue is persistent hair loss and overall thinning. I eat a high-protein diet, exercise regularly, and try to take good care of my health. What else could be causing this, or what should I ask my doctor to investigate next? submitted by /u/AccomplishedKale4856 [link] [comments]
