DELL - Signs of ExhaustionDell Technologies, Inc. Class CBATS:DELLVIAQUANTDell is showing some signs of exhaustion on the daily timeframe. It has seen an incredible uptrend from its low in February around $110 to its recent high of $485. After such an immense rally, it would not be surprising to see a cooloff period, and there are early signs in the chart right now that could be signaling exactly that. The first thing to note is the range price has been trading in on the daily. This range started after the gap at the end of May 2026 and has kept price between $369 and $469 for the past couple of months. There have been many touches of demand from buyers around $369 and many touches of resistance from sellers around $469. On August 5, 2026, Dell printed a bearish pin bar. This candle forms when price pushes higher during the session but sellers step in aggressively and push price back down near the open which reclaimed the range. It typically signals that buyers attempted to push price higher but were firmly rejected, often preceding a reversal. Then, even more importantly, today on August 10, 2026, Dell just formed a gravestone doji. This candle usually signals a powerful bearish rejection, as buyers pushed price higher during the session but sellers stepped in and drove it all the way back down before the close. When this pattern forms at a key resistance level, it is one of the strongest reversal signals that could print. In addition to this, even with higher highs forming in price, the daily RSI continues to print lower highs in trend momentum (red arrows). Something has to give here, and at this point it is looking like the elevated prices will give way to a drop back toward $369. From that point, I have a lower green box outlined marking where the gap fill would occur. Price created this major gap after Dell's May 28th earnings report, when the company reported a massive beat, posting $4.86 in earnings per share against a consensus estimate of $2.96, alongside strong AI order growth and raised guidance. That report sent shares surging 32.8% the following day to close at $420.91, creating the large gap on the chart that price has yet to fully fill. Therefore, be cautious around these prices, as there are early warning signs flashing that Dell could see a move to the downside from here. The only way this outlook is negated is by seeing daily candles close back above $469.
