A UNANIMOUS vote!Per the outlet, the fix was in from the beginning. Councilman Patrick Cloutier previously stated that members would approve the plan, claiming during a July 21 meeting that members’ “ministerial” duty is to allow property developments that meet zoning requirements.The McKinney Islamic Association sought approval for a larger campus on roughly 5-5.5 acres along Virginia Parkway near residential neighborhoods and a high school.Approved plans include a 15,000-square-foot mosque, a 10,000-square-foot classroom building, and a 7,000-square-foot gym.Why do they need all this space?X users reacted with fury upon learning what happened in a supposedly right-leaning community.
