The Prix du Moulin de Longchamp could be the next port of call for Gstaad after the Irish 2,000 Guineas winner was ruled out of next weekend's Prix Jacques le Marois due to an infection.Trained by Aidan O'Brien, the son of Starspangledbanner was last seen occupying the runner-up spot in the Sussex Stakes at Goodwood, chasing home Bow Echo (Night Of Thunder) for the third time this season, having also finished second behind that rival in both the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket and St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot.Whilst Bow Echo remains in contention to put his unbeaten record on the line in the Prix Jacques le Marois, Gstaad will definitely not be in the line-up for the Group 1 feature at Deauville on Sunday, August 16.“He got galloped into in Goodwood and he got a little bit of an infection in his hind part from it,” trainer Aidan O'Brien explained. “With the antibiotics we put him on, usually we'd be able to run him in seven days, but they had to give him an extra strong antibiotic because the cut was deep so it took 14 days. It wouldn't be out of his system in time [to run in the Prix Jacques le Marois].“It will probably be the Moulin now before he runs. That's probably where he'll go.”O'Brien also provided an update on Royal Ascot-winning juveniles Great Barrier Reef (No Nay Never) and Victorious (Wootton Bassett), both notable absentees from the Phoenix Stakes won by stablemate Sun Goddess (Sioux Nation) at the Curragh on Sunday.The Prix Morny at Deauville is under consideration for Coventry Stakes winner Great Barrier Reef, while there is a chance that Victorious might have run her final race of the campaign when last seen landing the Queen Mary Stakes.“Victorious was a little bit off, so she'll have a little bit of time off,” O'Brien added. “Whether we run her for the rest of the season, I'm not sure. If there's anything [wrong], we'll wait with her because she's travelled and she's a lot of experience. If we're not 100 per cent happy with her, she's finished for the season.“Great Barrier Reef had a spot of ringworm, that's why he didn't come here for the Phoenix Stakes.
