I mean it's possible but the variety of items is probably extremely limited. Like when I was in college and working overnights and had a brand new baby, whose mother was a daycare teacher and also made next to nothing, we'd survive on a weekly food budget of about $25-$30 for ourselves, as wiic took care of our sons needs. We'd buy 4-5 boxes of fettuccine for $1/box, 4 cans of Alfredo at $5/2 cans, and the rest was generally water and maybe a box or 2 of crackers or something and we'd eat fettuccine Alfredo 7 nights a week, with the next week switching to ziti and red sauce. We lived like that for a year until I graduated and finally could earn more and it was miserable. One thing, this was in the late 00s and food was much cheaper, as was everything else. I. Pretty sure even the above plan would now cost more like $40/$50.
