Fire destroys abandoned trailer at Ogbojo as two other blazes hit Accra

An abandoned container truck and its contents were completely destroyed in a fire at Ogbojo in the Greater Accra Region on Sunday, August 9, as two other separate fires were recorded at the Circle Roundabout and along the Teshie Bush Road.According to a post shared on Facebook by the Ghana National Fire Service, at Ogbojo, the fire engulfed an abandoned trailer, destroying both the vehicle and everything it contained.Two buses parked near the burning trailer were also at risk of being caught in the flames. Firefighters who responded to the incident managed to save the buses before the fire could spread to them.The cause of the fire at Ogbojo has not yet been established.At the Circle Roundabout, a separate fire involving refuse was reported. The blaze was extinguished before it spread to nearby property. No damage or casualties were recorded.The third incident occurred along the Teshie Bush Road, where a vehicle caught fire.Firefighters from the Trade Fair Fire Station attended the scene and extinguished the blaze. The fire, however, destroyed the vehicle’s bonnet, engine compartment and bumper.No casualties were reported in the Teshie Bush Road incident.The three fires occurred at different locations and were dealt with separately by firefighters. The causes of all three incidents remain under investigation.The incidents resulted in the complete destruction of an abandoned trailer and its contents at Ogbojo, damage to a vehicle at Teshie Bush Road and the burning of refuse at the Circle Roundabout.
