A heartbreaking detail has emerged following the death of 27-year-old Mohammed Abdul Jawad, who lost his life in a traffic accident in Qormi yesterday.Mohammed, who had reportedly been married for just six months, was going to become a father for the first time, with his wife currently expecting their child.According to friends of the victim, the young man had been incredibly happy about the prospect of becoming a dad.Tragically, he passed away before ever getting the chance to meet his son or daughter.Mohammed died following a collision between a trailer and the small truck he was driving on Ħandaq Road in Qormi at around 11.45am. He became trapped inside the vehicle and was certified dead at the scene.The trailer involved was being driven by a 39-year-old man from Tarxien.Magistrate Monica Borg Galea opened an inquiry into the incident, while investigations by the Police and the Occupational Health and Safety Authority remain ongoing.The news that Mohammed was expecting his first child has added another devastating layer to the tragedy, as his family and friends mourn a young husband and father-to-be whose life was cut short.Lovin Malta sends its deepest condolences to Mohammed’s wife, family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.•
