Ghost of Yotei fans have a lot of content to look forward to in October. The game is getting a Complete Edition in October, including the upcoming Echoes of Sekigahara story DLC, the classic Legends multiplayer mode, and the Most Wanted singleplayer survival mode with roguelike elements, Sony announced today. The Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition is pretty complete indeed, encompassing all content in the game (and a few extra goodies) for $70, according to Sony and Sucker Punch. If you already own the game, upgrading to the Complete Edition only sets you back $15. In both cases, preordering by Sept. 30 unlocks the Sakai Armor, a throwback to Ghost of Tsushima. The content sheds more detail into what happened with the protagonist during the eponymous battle and boasts a new area in Ezo, “a previously unseen valley once inhabited by The Snake and his gang of loyal followers.” Nagato, someone from Atsu’s past, will surface in her present and might be the link between the two arcs in the DLC. The Most Wanted singleplayer mode is “our spin on a roguelike,” according to Sucker Punch. You start new runs by accepting bounties and get perks by killing enemies. Most Wanted will have a handful of playable characters, each with different weapons: Atsu and her trusty dual katana may be the highlight, but Oyuki is adept with the kusarigama and Echoes of Sekigahara‘s Nagato brings the yari into battle. The Legends multiplayer mode is returning in Yotei, letting up to four players fight together. Going by the original iteration, Legends has its own classes rather than bringing major characters to the fold. The multiplayer mode is available as soon as you buy the Complete Edition, so you don’t have to wait until October to dive into it. Echoes of Sekigahara and the Most Wanted game mode will be available on Oct. 1, according to Sony. This makes sense, considering the roguelike-esque mode is bound to take into account some areas, characters, and developments from the story DLC. Sony also touts the Sakai Armor as an “early unlock” on Oct. 1, though it’s unclear what its requirements will be after that. Even if you don’t own the Complete Edition, Ghost of Yotei is getting a slew of quality-of-life changes on Oct. 1, including a transmog system and improvements to Photo Mode. The hardest part may be waiting until then. The post Ghost of Yotei is getting a story DLC, multiplayer, and a survival mode I never knew I needed appeared first on Destructoid.
