I was thinking that too! So thats where negotiation comes in. I get the complaints but i wish we lived in a world where this was more acceptable/common. I would help an old person a couple days a month for free if I had time! I don’t think this is the worst arrangement for right situation/person but i would accept on trial basis and then assess. A $600 (tax free) discount on rent is not bad if the mom is a cool roommate 😎
