A canceled appointment can be frustrating enough when you have somewhere to be. For one Dallas woman, however, the situation took an unexpected turn when she discovered her hairstylist was out at a restaurant after calling off their appointment. The creator, who posts as jailbae on TikTok, documented herself looking for the hairstylist after spotting her car outside. According to the creator, the stylist had canceled their appointment because of a family emergency and declined to return the deposit. The situation became more contentious once she found the hairstylist sitting inside. The video shows her approaching the table and questioning why the appointment had been canceled while the stylist was out for food and drinks. “So you cancel my hair appointment cause of a family emergency, but you outside eating,” the creator says in the video. She then asks, “This is the emergency? You outside for happy happy hour.” The cancellation didn’t sit right with her The hairstylist points to her cancellation policy when the creator asks for her deposit back. She explains, “On the website it says any emergencies and cancellations on my behalf, you have 30 days to rebook,” meaning the creator could reschedule rather than receive a refund. The creator, however, argues that the policy does not make sense when the cancellation came from the stylist. The hairstylist claims the deposit was $15, while the creator repeatedly corrects her, saying, “It was $50. She asks for “some chicken enchiladas and a shot of Don Julio” and tells the waiter to charge it to the hairstylist’s table. She then repeats, “Put it on her tab.” Viewers in the comments had plenty to say about the confrontation. One commenter wrote, “She’s cocky and unprofessional,” while another defended a man at the table who appeared to speak up during the exchange, writing, “Bless this gentleman for speaking up cause he knew that she was in the wrong for that.” Not everyone watching was convinced the confrontation was genuine, either. One viewer offered a much simpler explanation, writing, “For my sanity .. this is a skit.” The footage does not independently establish what the hairstylist’s family emergency involved, nor does it settle the disagreement over the deposit amount. Being seen at happy hour does not, by itself, provide that missing context. For the customer, however, finding the stylist at the restaurant appears to have been enough to question the explanation and demand her deposit back.
