Five held in murder of farmer in Chittoor - The HinduPublished - August 11, 2026 09:10 pm IST - CHITTOORThe Palamaner sub-division police on Tuesday (August 11, 2026) arrested five people for allegedly killing a man with a country-made weapon in Marapalli village, Peddapanjani mandal, on August 6. The accused allegedly attacked C.G. Srinivasulu, a farmer, while he was sitting on a rock in his field.The Palamaner rural police stated that preliminary investigations revealed that land disputes, family rivalry, and personal differences were the motives behind the attack. Srinivasulu’s brother, C.G. Ramalingam, allegedly plotted the killing and was assisted by Thoti Nagaraju, Rajasekhar alias Shekar, C.G. Prakash, and Muniraj, all of whom were his friends and relatives.The accused tracked Srinivasulu’s movements before Ramalingam allegedly shot him in the chest.
