Nine killed in two multi-vehicle crashes in Zaheerabad - The HinduPublished - August 11, 2026 09:28 pm IST - HYDERABADAt least nine people were killed in two separate multi-vehicle collisions in Zaheerabad on Tuesday (August 11), with the accidents reported within a short distance of each other and causing severe traffic disruption on the Hyderabad-Bidar road.In the first accident, seven people were killed when a lorry, a tanker and an autorickshaw collided near the Mahindra & Mahindra facility on the Zaheerabad-Bidar road around 8 p.m. The circumstances leading to the collision are yet to be ascertained. Police are investigating the sequence of events.Meanwhile, in another accident within the limits of Kohir police station in Zaheerabad, two people were killed and two others injured after an Ertiga allegedly jumped the road divider while travelling towards Hyderabad and collided with vehicles coming from the opposite direction.According to Zaheerabad town CI Ravi, the Ertiga, while allegedly attempting to overtake another car, crossed the divider and first collided with another Ertiga before crashing into an Innova travelling in the opposite direction.The two occupants of the Ertiga died in the collision. One of the deceased was identified as Mallikarjun, an employee of MRF.
