Shortage of hamalis was one of the issues in delayed procurement of food grains in the previous procurement cycle.Plans for mechanization of PPCs to address issues with manual labour and expedite the procurement process, prices of essential commodities were discussed at a high-level meeting chaired by Commissioner of Civil Supplies M. Stephen Raveendra and attended by K.
