Genuinely so tired of master servers

Wait 5 sec.

As the title says, I am so tired of master servers. Most I go to are filled with people who overlayer in the ugliest way possible, while hyping eachother up for sympathy votes. It's so tiring, seeing people who look like they put on every item in sight get told they're "so gorge" "love the layering" "Ateee". I cannot understand how they think it looks good, it's always so messy and so often off theme. Overlayering is just so ugly, and most of the time isn't on theme. Like, no, adding ten different pieces of jewelery and extra pieces of fabric when the theme is cheerleader or gymnast isn't on theme. Making every outfit hit the item limit isn't always good. You are allowed to have simple outfits, and not everything needs a lot of layers. Of course there are good ways to have a lot of layers and items on, but most of the time it just looks like putting stuff on because you think every outfit needs to have layering. It's always the same in every master server. The same corpse looking overlayering "baddie" gets first place because that's the style tiktok says looks good. Not to mention the voting. While I totally think a fair voting system is needed in all of DTI, some real change needs to follow. Because I should be allowed to just not like most of the fits one round without getting punished. Especially when I so often see people go AFK/off theme, making me anxious the rest of voting that the system will think I'm being unfair. I once, for real, was the only one of three people who dressed up. Everyone else was either AFK or joined late. I shouldn't have to vote everyone with nothing on atleast two stars in fear of getting punished. They should change it so you get kicked out or put in some AFK mode if you just don't move an entire round. I might get attacked for this take but that's fine, I just needed to rant a bit. Please tell me I'm not alone in all these opinions ETA: not sure if this is the right flare. I think so, since I'd like to discuss this with others, but I can change it if it's wrong submitted by /u/dry_weddingring [link] [comments]
