Tyler Jay Boebert (Source: Rifle Police Department)Tyler Boebert, the 21-year-old son of Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert, is back in legal hot water—this time facing serious felony charges related to the alleged sexual exploitation of a child.According to court records from Garfield County, Colorado, Tyler Boebert was arrested in connection with five felony counts stemming from an alleged incident dated around January 1, 2024.The charges include sexual exploitation of a child, sexual exploitation of a child with intent to deal in, sell, or distribute sexually exploitative material, a related charge involving videotaped material, and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to the Denver Post.He was taken into custody and released from Garfield County jail on Sunday after posting a $10,000 bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for August 19 in Garfield County District Court. Specific details from the arrest affidavit have not been made public.Rep. Boebert issued a brief statement to The Daily Mail, stating, “I love my son. We take these allegations very seriously and pray for everyone affected during this challenging time.”This is hardly Tyler Boebert’s first encounter with law enforcement. In February 2024, he was arrested following a string of vehicle break-ins and property thefts around Rifle, Colorado. Police initially accused him of offenses involving stolen credit cards, identification documents and several juvenile accomplices.Tyler ultimately pleaded guilty to attempted identity theft under a plea agreement. He is reportedly scheduled for another sentencing hearing connected to that case on September 10.He also faces a September 4 sentencing in Weld County after pleading guilty to misdemeanor child abuse through criminal negligence without injury. That case followed a 2025 incident involving his young son.TMZ previously reported that Tyler received another child-abuse citation in February 2026 after his toddler allegedly wandered away from Rep. Boebert’s Colorado home. No injury was reported.Following Tyler’s 2024 arrest, Rep. Boebert said her adult son should be held accountable for his decisions like any other citizen. The arrest could not come at a worse political moment for Rep. Boebert. The Colorado Republican is defending her seat in the state’s 4th Congressional District while facing Democrat Eileen Laubacher, a retired Navy veteran. Boebert has also endured a public rupture with President Donald Trump after campaigning for Rep. Thomas Massie against Trump’s preferred candidate. As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Trump publicly threatened to withdraw his endorsement and support a primary challenger, while Boebert responded that Colorado’s filing deadline had already passed. Now Democrats and their media allies will undoubtedly attempt to hang the alleged conduct of a 21-year-old man around his mother’s neck. The post Rep.
