Nintendo introduced Hong Hua, a powerful mage that will join forces with Eshmel, the recently revealed new protagonist of Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave. She will also join the Goddess Fortuna during the second part of the game taking place after the Heroic Games. According to her character profile shared via the Japanese Fire Emblem social media, Hong Hua helped in the creation of the Savior, Eshmel, and guided the Goddess of Fate Fortuna to the Forbidden Land. She is aware of the terrible crimes she committed in her past, and is determined to fight to the death to atone for it. In combat, Hong Hua is a powerful mage and her starting class is called Ovate. Her personal skill, “Crimson Magic,” increases her hit rate when performing magic attacks. She is known for voicing White Fox in Marvel Rivals, Nora Armstrong in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, and Caesar King in Zenless Zone Zero. Meanwhile, her Japanese voice actor is Airi Ohtsu. Ohtsu has previously voiced Kali Angel in Gravity Rush 2, Orchid in the original Japanese dub of Arknights, and Linda in the Japanese dub of Double Dragon Revive. Other characters Fortune’s Weave characters that Nintendo has previously shared include the flirty bard Sirocco, as well as Bonaventure and Buccar (or Bonaparte and Buccaneer in Japanese) Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave will come out on September 17, 2026 for the Nintendo Switch 2.
