Saw my dermatologist who says it’s TE. It’s also normal AGA plus traction alopecia from wearing a tight, high ponytail in the same place for 7 years. https://imgur.com/a/MvQMb0l The TE “hurricane” of lacrosse-ball sized hairwads in the shower drain caught my attention! Ponytail width now measures 7.5 cm. Previously it was 12 cm. Hair clips are now child-sized. New Ponytail holders are now child sized for fine hair. Ponytail is now loose and LOW. I bought new, tiny hair claws because the old ones are ridiculously huge and unusable now. I will add a photo after posting this. When hair is dry, no one but me might notice. But when hair is wet it’s obvious. Have begun topical minoxidil 5% foam nightly, and Nutrafol vitamins, and have hair serums which I will cycle: the ordinary hair serum, Divi hair serum, and just bought Kreyol Haitian black castor oil with rosemary and mint (for a 10 minute treatment just before showering- NOT as a leave-on because it’s too strong for my hair). The cardiac drug that knocked half my hair out in 6 weeks is called Rosuvastatin, btw. This is a very rare side effect. On the plus side, it only takes 3 minutes to blow dry my hair now! submitted by /u/LBinSF [link] [comments]
