Three more cases of Hepatitis A have been linked to the cluster involving people who consumed food from Deli & Co in Qormi, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to seven.The latest cases come after health authorities initially confirmed four cases earlier this week.According to the Health Ministry, the three additional people had eaten food from the establishment during a period when a food handler was infectious and working there.“A further three persons were diagnosed with Hepatitis A and were linked to the cluster, having consumed food from the establishment during the period when a food handler was infectious and working at the establishment,” the ministry said.Investigations into the cluster remain ongoing.Health authorities have previously urged anyone who consumed food from the Qormi outlet between 17th and 25th June to remain alert for possible symptoms until 14th August.Symptoms can include fever, tiredness, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, dark urine, pale stools and jaundice.Following the initial announcement, Deli & Co said health and safety remained its priority but maintained that, at that stage, no evidence had been presented to establish a direct link between the reported cases and the establishment.•
