USDJPY — The Rebound Is Back: What Comes Next?USD/JPYOANDA:USDJPYLordemerson ## USDJPY — The Rebound Is Back: What Comes Next? **USDJPY has staged a strong recovery after the sharp sell-off seen at the end of July.** From a technical perspective, the pair has reclaimed the **157.00–158.00 area** and is now approaching the **159.00–160.00 resistance zone**. This is an important area. ### 📈 Bullish Scenario If price manages to break and hold above **160.00**, the current bullish structure could extend toward the previous highs around **162.00–164.00**. The key confirmation would be sustained acceptance above the 159–160 zone rather than simply a liquidity sweep. ### 📉 Bearish Scenario If USDJPY fails to break 159–160 and sellers regain control, I would be watching: **157.20 → 156.00 → 155.20** A deeper move below 155 could significantly weaken the current bullish structure. ### 🌍 The Macro Perspective USDJPY is not only a technical setup. The pair reflects the relationship between the **US dollar and Japanese yen**, and therefore remains highly sensitive to: * US–Japan interest-rate differentials * Federal Reserve expectations * Bank of Japan policy * inflation * risk sentiment * capital flows This is why a bullish USDJPY move can have very different consequences depending on the business. **Japanese exporters may benefit from a weaker yen, while importers can face higher costs for USD-denominated goods, energy and raw materials.** For businesses with significant FX exposure, the question is therefore not simply: > **“Will USDJPY go higher?”** The more important question is: > **“What happens to our cash flow, margins and capital if it does?”** ### 🎯 My Current View The structure remains **bullish while price holds above the 157–158 region**, but **159–160 is the key decision zone**. I would rather wait for confirmation than chase the move. **Markets provide scenarios. Risk management determines how we respond to them.** *This is a technical and macroeconomic market view, not financial advice.* #USDJPY #Forex #FX #TechnicalAnalysis #Macro #RiskManagement #TreasuryManagement
