Into Mischief gave notice once again Tuesday evening at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga sale that he's not ready to relinquish his crown as seven-time leading sire anytime soon. In the opening hour of the sale and on the heels of a $2.6-million colt and a $4.2-million colt, he added a $2.8-million colt to his sales stats. Hunter Rankin signed the ticket on behalf of Flying Dutchmen, who also purchased the $4.2-million full-brother to MGSW and Hill 'n' Dale stallion Barnes.Consigned by Four Star Sales, agent for Spendthrift Farm LLC, the Into Mischief colt went through the ring as Hip 140. Bred by Spendthrift, which stands his sire, the bay is out of the winning Tiznow mare Anacapa. A half-sister to GII Sorrento Stakes winner Amalfi Sunrise (Constitution) and a granddaughter of GSW & GISP Bella Chiarra (Phone Trick), Anacapa was purchased by Spendthrift for $250,000 at the 2021 Fasig-Tipton Santa Anita 2-Year-Olds in Training sale.
