THE RUNDOWNTravis Kelce spoke for the first time about his wedding to Taylor Swift during a Kansas City Chiefs press conference. He called it “the best night of my life” and “perfect.”He also discussed what getting married in Madison Square Garden meant to him.Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce chose to keep wedding details and photos private during the first month of their marriage. But now, Kelce is ready to talk about the big day—and how “perfect” it was to get married in Madison Square Garden.During an NFL press conference, Kelce told reporters, “It was a fun offseason, man. Wedding was the best night of my life, and I appreciate everybody who came out and celebrated and had fun with us. That’s about all I really got from that night. It was a crazy night. It was full of a lot of celebration.”When asked about the venue specifically, given the arena’s significance in sports, Kelce added, “MSG, man! You know, I always told myself I’d go for a playoff game when the Knicks were rocking and my wife went when I was stuck in training minicamp, so I didn’t get my opportunity to go then. So it’s kind of cool to be able to live out my childhood dream of being in that venue—you know, the Mecca of all sports venues. Being able to get married in there, I can’t thank the owners of MSG [enough] for allowing us to get the opportunity to do that, knowing that we wanted a private event and everything. So it was perfect, and the AC was cooking, baby. That was the best part.”View full post on XPrior to this afternoon, the couple only shared one statement about their wedding through Swift’s rep. Immediately after their July 3 ceremony, her spokesperson confirmed their marriage to People, adding, “The bride and groom’s wedding ceremony looks have been created by Christian Dior Haute Couture. They are designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women’s, Men’s and Haute Couture Collections, in close collaboration with the Bride and Groom. This is the designer’s first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity. Their shoes were custom made by Christian Louboutin, and the bride wore Cartier jewelry. Taylor and Travis did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen. Instead, her brother, Austin Swift, served as Taylor’s Man of Honor and Jason Kelce was Travis’s Best Man. The ceremony joined both families together and was officiated by friend Adam Sandler.”A spokesperson for Dior later told The New York Times that Swift will reveal her wedding dress on Instagram when she wishes. The house will not share any photos of the design beforehand.
