Ava Peace says joining Jeff Kiwa’s management has helped protect her from unwanted sexual advances and predators in the music industry.Speaking during a YouTube podcast, Ava revealed that before she started working with Kiwa, she frequently received sexual advances from people in the entertainment industry. She says her association with the respected music manager has since made it harder for people to approach her disrespectfully.It is hard now. She also referred to him as a “gun,” suggesting that his reputation and influence give her an added layer of protection in the industry.Ava also opened up about her early experience with Black Market Records before joining Kiwa’s Team No Sleep (TNS) management. They signed me and I signed things I didn’t know because I only wanted to sing.According to Ava, she recorded two songs with the label, but their working relationship eventually broke down because she felt the company was not giving her enough attention. She further claims that Black Market Records retained control of her YouTube channel, forcing her to start over despite efforts by her lawyers to recover the account.We did two songs with them and that was the end. We failed to move forward together because they weren’t giving me attention and they kept my YouTube channel.
