SummerDaze 2026 officially kicked off last night, and 18,000 people packed the Ta’ Qali Concert Area to see global superstar Lewis Capaldi take to the stage.The Scottish singer-songwriter headlined the first main event of this year’s festival, performing in front of a packed crowd at what was also the first-ever SummerDaze concert held at the Ta’ Qali Concert Area.But Capaldi wasn’t the only one bringing the energy.A line-up of Maltese talent, including Jamie Cardona, Shaun Farrugia and J Joy, took to the stage throughout the evening, warming up the massive crowd ahead of the headline performance.Thousands of fans then came together for Capaldi’s set, with the singer bringing his catalogue of emotional anthems and fan favourites to Malta.And SummerDaze isn’t finished just yet.The festival returns to Ta’ Qali this Saturday, 15th August, when internationally renowned DJ and producer Calvin Harris takes over the venue for the second main event.Another huge crowd is expected for Saturday’s show, with General Admission previously selling out and limited tickets still available.Were you among the 18,000 people singing along with Lewis Capaldi last night?•
