Gold Day Trading Setup — Bearish Structure After BreakdownGoldOANDA:XAUUSDpullbacksignal5M Timeframe Chart The short-term picture has changed significantly. Earlier, there were still signs that buyers could maintain the bullish structure. But after the recent price action, those signals have largely disappeared. What we are seeing now is a much cleaner bearish sequence: Breakout → Pullback → Sell-off → Correction → Breakdown Price broke the support, returned for a pullback, failed to reclaim the broken area, moved lower again, corrected once more, and has now broken down from the latest short-term structure. That is the reason I am currently looking at this as a day-trading short setup. 🔴 Bearish Scenario As long as price remains below 4339, the bearish scenario remains valid. 🎯 Day Trading Target: 4291 🎯 Short-Term Target: 4225 The first target is the area I would watch for an initial reaction. If sellers remain in control beyond that level, 4225 becomes the next important objective. ❌ Invalidation 4339 is the invalidation level. If price reclaims this level and the bearish structure starts to fail, there is no reason to force the short idea. That is an important part of the setup. We don't need to be right about the direction. We need to be right about when the market is no longer behaving according to our idea. Daily timeframe matters The 4381 Daily resistance is an important reference point. This is why I don't want to look at the 15M/5M move in isolation. A short-term setup is always happening somewhere inside a larger market structure. For now, the lower timeframe is bearish. The Daily resistance at 4381 gives us important context for the larger picture. So I will simply follow the price action from here. No prediction. No chasing. No fighting the market. The structure changed. We react to the structure. ⚠️ Risk Warning: XAUUSD Gold day trading and leveraged positions involve significant risk and can lead to rapid losses. Short-term Gold moves can be extremely volatile, especially around major levels, liquidity events and market sessions. A technical setup can fail without warning. The targets shown are potential scenarios, not guaranteed outcomes. Use disciplined position sizing, define your invalidation before entering, and never risk capital you cannot afford to lose.
