Just weeks after acquiring Ars et Labor Ferrara, Maltese businessman Joseph Portelli has met with Ferrara mayor Alan Fabbri to discuss the club’s future.Portelli, who now serves as the club’s president, was joined by CEO Marcel Bonnici for the meeting at the Municipal Residence, where discussions focused on the club’s growth and strengthening its ties with the city.The pair also discussed the SPAL trademark, which was recently acquired by the Municipality of Ferrara, and the process that will allow the club to use the historic name as part of its long-term project.Later in the day, Portelli visited the squad at its pre-season training camp, spending time with players ahead of their afternoon training session.The meeting comes weeks after Portelli completed his takeover of Ars et Labor Ferrara and began outlining his plans for the club.Could this be the start of a new era?•
