Dane Jackson has decided to hang up his cleats aged 29. The news was made official after the Jacksonville Jaguars placed him on the reserve/retired list ahead of training camp, just a month after he signed with the team. Jackson was a seventh-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, selected out of Pittsburgh by the Buffalo Bills. The cornerback spent five of his six seasons with the Bills, with a brief one-year spell at the Carolina Panthers for the 2024 season.Across his six years in the NFL, Jackson played 64 games (31 starts), in which he recorded 178 combined tackles, including 144 solo tackles and 34 assisted stops. He also registered three tackles for loss and three interceptions for a total of 19 yards returned.
