Archaeologists in El Salvador have uncovered a mysterious face-down human skull believed to more than 3000 years old at a burial site dating to around 850 B.C. DNA and radiocarbon testing could reveal whether this is one of the oldest known pre-Hispanic burials in Mesoamerica, the Ministry said in a social media post.
