Tamil Nadu CM Vijay's planned meeting with Karnataka CM D K Shivakumar to discuss the Cauvery Water dispute was postponed due to an unfavorable atmosphere. Karnataka cited reservoir deficits and insufficient rainfall for its inability to release water, while Tamil Nadu demanded more than the directed 3500 cusecs. The DMK has also approached the Supreme Court seeking directions for water release.
