Assam's Orunodoi welfare scheme has been relaunched with upgraded features for women beneficiaries. The enhanced scheme will now provide a monthly sum of Rs 1,250 to eligible recipients. Beneficiaries can also access interest-free advances against their future payouts. This new provision allows for advances up to Rs 15,000 for immediate needs. The government aims to improve financial access for women through this initiative.
