The 2-year-old was handed an easy lead out of the blocks and the bay headed towards the first turn on the engine.Making every pole a winning one up the backstretch and around the far turn, Voyager entered the lane looking to see the race out. Rival Correlation Trade (GB) (New Bay {GB}) made her bid to catch her target, but she came up just short.“I trained her mom [Chart (Lea)] and I think she might have been one of the first stakes horses we had for D.J.,” trainer Mark Casse said. “I thought she [Voyager] was beautiful just from watching the Keeneland video and that as enough.“I think she's better than you saw today,” he said. “Chad's [Brown, Correlation Trade] filly is pretty good too. Our filly got to the lead and maybe didn't know what to do. The other filly had a great kick and tried to come get her. But I think you're going to hear from these two.“My plan is to send her to the [GI] Natalma Stakes at Woodbine coming up and then down the road point to the Breeders' Cup in late October,” he added.The winner's dam that Casse referenced won the GIII Ontario Colleen Stakes at Woodbine. Stoneriggs purchased the mare for $210,000 during the 2021 Keeneland November sale.Also of note, Chart is responsible for a yearling filly by Flightline, who was herself a $290,000 2026 Keeneland January sale buy for Blue River Farm.
