Bandai Namco already promised to introduce and show off the Naruto Card Game TCG based on the manga and anime, at Gen Con 2026, and now it shared trailers and a schedule for further event appearances and reveals. The two videos offer both a “first look” and “overview.” Meanwhile, the game will appear at six other events worldwide before the Summer 2027 debut. This is one of the first new TCGs based on the series since the release of A New Chronicle. The Naruto Card Game “First Look Trailer” is the shorter of the two videos. It begins with clips from the anime adaptation before showing cards for Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha. Then, after watching anime snippets of Sakura Haruno, Orochimaru, Boruto Uzumaki, Itachi Uchiha, Jiraiya, and Tsunade, we get to see six cards based on each of them. Shippuden versions of Naruto and Sasuke cards also appeared. The “Overview Trailer” is a more detailed video that explains more about what we can expect. It confirmed Naruto, Naruto Shippuden, and Boruto will all be represented. It also touches on the four different types of cards that appear, which are Leader, Character/EX Character, Chakra, and Summon. Each deck has one leader, 50 characters, five Chakra, and one summon, for a total of 57. To win, someone needs to get their opponent’s Leader card character’s life points down to 0.
