The girl was walking to school with her aunt when the car, travelling from Nelamangala towards Kunigal, hit her allegedly due to the driver’s rash and negligent driving. Her aunt narrowly escaped without serious injuries.The police have identified the driver as Prabhu and have taken him into custody. They also seized the vehicle involved in the accident. A case has been registered at Kudur Police Station, and the body was sent for post-mortem before being handed over to the family.
